On the island, you can see whales, dugongs, stingrays, countless seabirds, and turtles, but without a doubt, the most popular regulars are the wild bottlenose dolphins. They come to the shore every evening, and resort guests can hand-feed them. Since capturing the heart of resort owner Betty Osborne over 20 years ago, the dolphins have been an integral part of the Tangalooma story. The Experience
Day 1 Arrival in Brisbane Take the 10:00 AM ferry from Brisbane's Hot Street Marina to Dolphin Island (approximately 75 minutes one way). Upon arrival, check in at the reception and begin your exciting island holiday with a variety of activities. In the evening, enjoy a close encounter with wild dolphins and hand-feed them – a truly unforgettable experience.
Day 2 Tangalooma Island Resort In the morning, take a 6-minute ultimate helicopter tour, offering breathtaking aerial views of the island, including the Tangalooma shipwreck, sand dunes, and more.
In the afternoon, with our enthusiastic and engaging guide, embark on a 4WD tour, enjoying the unique scenery of Moreton Island before participating in sandboarding.
Day 3 Departure from Tangalooma Island Resort After checking out in the morning, take the 9:30 AM ferry back to Brisbane Marina, concluding your wonderful and unforgettable Dolphin Island trip.

Price is the same for two people, adults and children same price. Single travelers will be charged the price for two people. Infants aged 0-2 years are not included in the price.
The price does not include the Saturday night surcharge.
The specific itinerary order is subject to change based on actual conditions. Due to weather and other factors, the itinerary time and order may be adjusted, but the itinerary content will remain the same.
There is no tour guide after arrival on the island. Guests need to confirm the specific departure times for the attractions included in the itinerary upon arrival.
Helicopter Included Terms and Conditions: Each designated guest in the booking will receive a "Tour 1" helicopter flight voucher as part of their check-in process. Guests must book their flight time at the resort's Heli Hut on the day of arrival; otherwise, they may miss available times during their visit. The included flight operates approximately 6 minutes from the resort. A minimum of 2 passengers are required for each helicopter flight, and there are maximum passenger limits depending on the available aircraft and passenger weight. While we strive to ensure that guests traveling together to the resort can board the same flight, some passengers may need to travel separately from other guests in the booking. Passengers unrelated to the passenger may also occupy available seats on their flights. Individual seat weight, combined seat weight, and age restrictions also apply. Children under 3 years old must be held in their parents' laps if the pilot deems it safe. Children 3 years and older must be seated in their own seats. Flight times and routes may vary due to operational reasons.
Specific terms for the included off-road sandboarding tour: Each designated guest booking for travel before June 14, 2026, and between October 15, 2026, and March 31, 2027, will receive a “Desert Safari Tour” voucher upon check-in. Guests must book/confirm their tour time at the resort’s Tours Desk on the day of arrival, or they may miss available times during their visit. This tour is weather-dependent, as sandboarding sleds cannot operate in wet conditions. If weather permits, this tour will be conducted as a sightseeing tour and will include a visit to the Tangalooma shipwreck.
Specific terms and conditions for the whale watching tour: Each guest who books a tour and arrives at the resort between 14 June 2026 and 14 October 2026 (only) will receive a whale watching cruise voucher. This tour includes a light meal on board. We will try our best to accommodate guests' dietary requests if suggested at the time of booking, but these cannot be guaranteed. Guests must confirm their assigned tour time at the resort's tour desk on the day of arrival, otherwise they may miss available time during the tour. For the comfort and safety of our guests, whale watching cruises will be suspended in case of strong winds. If a whale watching cruise cannot be carried out or rescheduled during a guest's stay due to weather conditions, each guest with the original booking will receive:
1 Desert Safari Tour voucher;
1 AUD 20 food voucher.
